  • Which product is right for me?
The ideal method for taking CBD depends on the reason it is being used. For most conditions, we recommend a tincture due to its high bioavailability, precise dosing, and convenience. Many users also prefer topicals for certain conditions because of its properties.
  • What are minor cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are compounds that act on the body’s endocannabinoid system that alter neurotransmitter release in the brain. Each cannabinoid interacts with the endocannabinoid differently and has different benefits. The most notable cannabinoids are CBD and THC, but there are at least 113 known cannabinoids. The other 111+ cannabinoids are commonly referred to as “minor cannabinoids”.
  • What are cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are chemical compounds produced by the cannabis plant. The human body (and the bodies of all vertebrates) produce endocannabinoids, while cannabinoids found in plants are called phytocannabinoids. Cannabinoids interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS).
  • What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of 113 known cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. CBD has many beneficial properties.
  • What are the most common minor cannabinoids?
Minor cannabinoids are another type of cannabinoid found in hemp and cannabis plants. These cannabinoids are “minor” because of their lower plant material concentrations. Currently, the most common minor cannabinoids are CBG, CBC, THCV, and CBN.
  • How does CBD work?
CBD works with the Human Endocannabinoid System (ECS). The human body has two receptors for cannabinoids the CB1 and CB2 receptors. Although both are found all over the body, CB1 receptors are present in the brain. CB2 receptors are more common in the immune system, among other things. THC attaches to the CB1 receptors, whereas CBD interacts with the CB2 receptors. Unlike THC which attaches to receptors, CBD does not attach to the CB2 receptor. Rather, researchers believe that CBD influences the body’s use of endocannabinoids.
  • What is the human Endocannabinoid System (ECS)?
The Endocannabinoid System is a complex network communication system that controls how your central nervous system talks to your body. The picture below shows some of the ECS components.
  • Do you have an FDA disclosure?
FDA Disclosure: These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease. Always check with your physician before starting a new dietary supplement program. Consult a physician before using cannabidiol (CBD) in any form during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a natural constituent of hemp oil.
  • Will CBD show up on a drug test?
If you are using an Adorn Wellness CBD Full-Spectrum Tincture, there is a greater than zero chance that the trace and legal amount of THC in the product could cause you to test positive for THC. All other Adorn Wellness CBD products are 0.00% THC. These products are not expected to cause a positive result for THC. Please consider there are two types of drug tests used on urine to test for cannabis: Immunoassay test: Tells you whether the breakdown product of THC is present. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) test: Tells you the type and amount of all compounds present, even CBD. You will test negative if you have received an immunoassay test, provided you have only consumed CBD (0.00% THC). However, the more complex GC-MS test can detect the presence of CBD if required. If your work requires drug testing, understand their list of banned substances before consuming CBD. Better safe than sorry. Adorn Wellness CBD cannot and does not represent or warrant the results that any individual may experience and advises customers to consider the risks of incorrect detection prior to the use of this product.
  • Does CBD interact with other medications?
As with any supplement, if you are taking prescription medications, consult with a qualified health professional before taking.
  • Can I give my pet CBD?
Yes, high-quality CBD is safe for pets. The best Adorn Wellness CBD product to give your dog or cat is our CBD Pet Tincture. We recommend that you consult with a veterinarian professional before starting a CBD regimen for your pets.
  • What does full-spectrum mean?
Full-spectrum products are formulated with a CBD extract that has the same cannabinoid profile as the hemp biomass from which it came. Adorn Wellness CBD uses only hemp biomass that is high in CBD, rich in minor cannabinoids, and below the legal threshold of 0.3% THC. Adorn Wellness CBD’s Full-Spectrum Tinctures are under 0.3% THC and legal in all 50 states.
  • What kind of testing is performed on your product?
Samples of our products are sent to a third-party lab for all hemp used in processing, all extracts we produce, and each batch of CBD products that are formulated to ensure purity, accurate cannabinoid concentrations, and consistency. On our certification page we have an example listing of the different lab tests. If the specific lab report is required for the batch you purchased, scan the barcode on your product or please email CoAs@adornwellcbd.com, with the batch no. from the container and the specific lab report for your batch can be provided.
  • Do you test for potency, pesticide, heavy metals, and yeast/mold/microbial contamination?
Yes, samples are sent to a third-party lab for all hemp used in processing, all extracts produced, and each batch of CBD products formulated to ensure purity, accurate cannabinoid concentrations, and consistency. This includes testing for THC levels and potential contaminants.
  • What is a tincture?
Commonly referred to as “CBD Oil”, a CBD tincture is CBD in liquid form. CBD extracts (isolate or distillate) are infused into medium-chain triglycerides (MCT oil) from coconuts, which serves as a carrier oil. Tinctures are ingested orally. Fill the syringe on your dropper to 1ml and squirt under your tongue. Hold under your tongue for 60-90 seconds before swallowing.
  • Which product is right for me?
The ideal method for taking CBD depends on the reason it is being used. For most conditions, we recommend a tincture due to its high bioavailability, precise dosing, and convenience. Many users also prefer topicals for certain conditions because of its properties.
  • Can I take CBD on an empty stomach?
Yes, there are usually no issues when taken on an empty stomach.
  • What is CBN?
Cannabinol (CBG) is considered a minor cannabinoid because it is present in low levels (usually less than 1%) in most cannabis strains. CBN is a non-intoxicating compound that is best known as the cannabinoid created when THC ages. For that reason, it’s usually present in high amounts in older cannabis.
  • Do I need to keep my CBD products refrigerated?
Adorn Wellness CBD products do not need to be refrigerated, but a refrigerator is not a bad place to keep your store your product so long as it is out of the reach of children. CBD products should be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. Exposure to air, direct sunlight, and heat can degrade CBD.
  • Do your products contain THC?
Yes, we have products that contain trace amounts (<0.3%) of THC (Full-Spectrum CBD Products). The rest of our products are 0.00% THC.
  • How many milligrams of CBD should I take per serving?
Your effective dose will depend on a number of factors, including the severity of your condition, the delivery/consumption method, and the size of the person. Suggested dosing ranges from 5mg to 50mg per serving.
  • How long will it take to notice the benefits?
It depends on the method and dose you take as well as your body characteristics. For products with high bioavailability like tinctures, users often report immediate results. However, most of the effects of CBD are subtle and take up to a half hour or more to be detectable. Individual results may vary.
  • Are hemp and marijuana the same thing?
Hemp is legally defined as cannabis with less than 0.3% of the cannabinoid THC. THC causes a high and is illegal federally. Hemp contains trace amounts of THC, is unlikely to cause a high, and is legal to possess in all 50 US states. All Adorn Wellness CBD products except for the Full-Spectrum CBD Tinctures are 0.00% THC due to a process that removes THC from the extract used to infuse its products with CBD.
  • What is CBG?
There are over one hundred known cannabinoids. Traditionally, cannabis has been bred to be as high in THC as possible with very little regard for other cannabinoids. Nowadays, seed genetics companies are breeding for other cannabinoids, like CBD and CBG. Of course, there are countless seed companies offering CBD-dominant seeds, and a sizable CBD market has developed. Demand for CBG-dominant strains has taken off recently due to emerging research. Adorn Wellness CBD does offer CBD+CBG Tinctures.
